Y2 to Y5 generally fit like toddler sizes, while Y6 to Y12 fit like kids' sizes. If your child wears a split size in another brand and still has room to grow, choose the lower end of the range. Chest Measurement
Measure around the fullest part of the chest area and keep tape level under your arms and across your back.
Waist Size
Measure your natural waistline by placing the tape around the narrowest part of your torso, typically just above your belly button.
Garment Length
For accurate garment length, measure from the top of your shoulder down to where you want the hem to fall.
Sleeve Measurement
Start at the center of the back of your neck, run the tape across your shoulder, and down to your wrist with arm straight for a full sleeve measurement.

"Long-time purchaser, first time reviewer here (I think?). I bought a Surf Ohio shirt way back when they were selling them on a table at Tuttle Mall back around 2007. Anyhow, I have continued buying all of these years and the same things have always been true - the quality (most important!) and the cool & often classic designs make the higher price point well worth it. My 2 year old daughter looks great in this one, by the way. She is a trim 2T (28 lbs. , 3. 25’ tall) and it doesn’t look big on her to me. There is extra room, though - not a “fitted” look.
