Though little known today, the Los Angeles Red Devils were a unique, racially-integrated professional basketball team from the mid-1940s that featured numerous stars including Jackie Robinson, the former UCLA star who was that school’s first (and still only) four-sport varsity letterman—in football, baseball, basketball, and track.
After completing his spectacular rookie season with the Montreal Royals of baseball’s minor leagues, Robinson returned home to Pasadena in October 1946 to sign with the Red Devils. It was his first (and last) professional basketball contract.
They were originally organized as a speculative venture by a white sports promoter named Jack Duddy, who envisioned that his new team might join the National Basketball League (NBL), which at the time was considering the addition of a West Coast franchise.
Though they only played two seasons, the Red Devils were outstanding. Their lineup included forwards Jackie Robinson, Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame member George Crowe, and Pasadena City College standout Irv Noren, guards Everett “Ziggy” Marcelle, a Southern University grad and former Harlem Globetrotter, and U.S.C. All-American Eddie Oram, and Stanford star Art Stoefen at center.

"Purchased this shirt for the World Cup and put it on for the event and the logo was off center of the chest by 3”. Let Homage know and they sent me another one, this one was only off center by 2”. Customer service was great but poor quality control."
"I’ve only worn it once so far but was immediately complimented on it. They weren’t aware of the pod and just loved the look, but after a brief convo they were bout it and said they loved the idea of it and were gonna look for it. Shirt itself is super comfy and great material. I would size up for a bit of room though. I usually wear an XL but had to exchange for a XXL. Btw, I had the exchanged shirt within days of my return. Homage is a Super (Retro!) great brand and I will absolutely be buying again and again"

"I love the design but it's noticeably smaller than my other medium Homage t-shirts. I can't say if it's a whole size smaller but it's definitely smaller than a true medium. For the pic, I put it on top of another medium t-shirt I purchased from Homage. It might not look like a huge difference in the pic, but it's enough to really change the fit. I like a more relaxed fit and I ended up with fitted."

"I'm 5'2 and ordered a small. . . the women's one I didn't like the fit so decided to go with the mens and it is perfect!! It doesn't shrink a whole lot after washing however the small fits great but a medium would have fit well I feel too. . . highly recommend!! Also i bought this shirt because Kristin Cavelry wore the same one pitching to the cubs. . . just saying if you want to see what it looks like. . . she also got a mens"
