Get ready to roar, Bobcats: we’re repping the Green and White with a little tribute to everyone’s favorite feline, Rufus the Bobcat. Rufus has been a fixture on the field at Peden Stadium since his grand entrance (on a Harley Davidson, no less) in 2006, although Ohio University has been known as the Bobcats since 1925. Rufus’s name comes from both the scientific name for the bobcat species and a connection to one of OU’s founding fathers, Rufus Putnam. Pay homage.
