Legend has it that one of Ohio State’s most beloved tunes, Carmen Ohio, had its beginnings after a stinging loss to Michigan in 1903. Glee Club member Fred Cornell penned the ode to Buckeye pride as a way to rally the faithful after the defeat, and the rest, as they say, is history. The song has since accompanied countless OSU victories on the football field, including just a few over the Wolverines.
