It's never too early to bring your young's into the NutHouse, and what better way than with the tale of good ol' beloved Brutus.
With a buck deer mascot vetoed, students Ray Bourhis and Sally Huber came back to OSU’s athletic council and suggested just the first half of the name plus and eye. Within months, a paper-mâché Brutus debuted at Ohio State’s 1965 Homecoming Game and won over the stadium. While the paper-mâché original form quickly became fiberglass, the much beloved Brutus forever stayed. Outfit your little one for game day with the original Brutus. Go Bucks!
