Perhaps the biggest event in Cincinnati’s football tradition didn’t even happen in the city. Enter Paul Brown’s fallout with Cleveland. The former head coach, still fuming from what occurred up north, came to the Queen City set on rekindling and revamping Cincinnati football. In 1968, a new era in Cincinnati professional football kicked off, again in the AFL, before moving to the NFL in 1970.
