It’s simply called "The Play," as there can be no other name.

On November 20th 1982, Stanford took a 20-19 lead over Cal on a field goal with four seconds to play. After a squib kickoff, Cal players lateraled the ball an astounding five times, even plowing through the Stanford band (who had mistakenly stormed the field) for the winning touchdown.

After a period of debate, the officials signaled a clear touchdown, and Cal radio announcer Joe Starkey hailed the game as "the most amazing, sensational, dramatic, heart-rending... exciting, thrilling finish in the history of college football!"
