    The Story
    Depending on who you ask, Kansas State’s football team either began play on Thanksgiving Day, 1893 (with an 18-10 victory over St. Mary’s Academy) or on November 3rd 1894 (as the Wildcats defeated an Abilene, Kansas team 24-0). However, the first official game recorded in the university’s history is a 14-0 loss to Fort Riley on November 28th 1896.
