The last Division I men's basketball team to run the table, the 1975-76 Indiana University Hoosiers finished the season 32-0, and went wire-to-wire as the nation’s #1 ranked team. Under fifth-year head coach Bob Knight and National Player of the Year Scott May, the Hoosiers downed perennial powerhouse UCLA in the national semis and Michigan in the NCAA championship game. Former Florida State coach Hugh Durham said of the Hoosiers, "I'm glad this isn't like baseball. I'd hate to play these guys in a three-game homestand.”
